I'm cross-posting this to the bellydance tribes.
We really should have some kind of tribe button with our id on it, so when we go to workshops and shows we can identify each other. Any thoughts?

i wondered if i would know the others i chat with on these tribes when i bump into them at events or workshops. i hope that if someone recognizes me they just come right up and ask if i'm on tribe. and i'd hope i did the same. tribe buttons sound pretty cool -- even if they just say "tribe" or "tribe.net" on them. -

For a long time my profile pic (on this and other boards) was a snapshot of my dog. I thought it was cute, but it is sort of hard for people to recognize me. :)
I'm thinking just the plain tribe.net button is the best way to go. We can always ask each other who we are. <--- does that make sense? -

Sat, July 2, 2005 - 7:31 AMyep, that was what i was thinking. you see a "tribe" button and if it's not apparent who the person is you can simply ask, "who are you?" or "which tribes do you belong to?" and chances are you'll know of that person.
i think it's cool to meet the people in person. when you get back to post it's a different relationship. you kind of know whom you are "chatting" with. :) -

Thu, July 21, 2005 - 5:16 AMThere was a vendor at Rakkasah in March, who had some tiny blue buttons with a "t.n" on them. I got one, and plan to wear it at Summer Caravan this weekend. Unfortunatley, I expect to be backstage for most of the time I'm there.
Anyway, hopefully I'll get to see some of you there. ? -

Sat, July 23, 2005 - 3:33 AMShe apparently had them left over from a previous event. Unfortunately, I can't recall the name of the vendor right now. I know it was in a thread in the Rakkasah tribe, back in March. I'll try to find it later, so you can ask her where to get the buttons or if she made them or what. (I really should get to bed right now! :P )

Fri, July 29, 2005 - 12:24 AMOkay, so I just went and found the thread in the Rakkasah tribe. The lady's name is "Sharon aka Scarlet Rose". She is a member of the Rakkasah tribe. You can probably look her up there, and send her a private message asking about the buttons. (You can probably look her up in the thread about a "meet up" at Rakkasah. It was started by Jim Boz. Sharon has Tigger as her current picture.) -

It seemed pretty good the one weekend I was there last year. Well, other than getting pretty damp... It's definitely better without REC!!!
