“Pow” with Presence: Elegant Entrances and Fabulous Finales!
Entrances and Finales are major parts of choreography that will make your dance memorable. This workshop will teach you how to create an elegant and graceful entrance and to end your dance with a POW!! We will cover feet, arms, eye contact, head movement and staging. Discussions are based around what movements will make your ending powerful, traveling and stationary, the best poses and find what poses makes your body look “picture perfect” for the stage, restaurant and camera. This class is open to any level dancer.
Saturday 1-2:30pm - $25
Put some” BANG” in your hips: Pops and Locks
Pops and locks are a great accentuation in belly dance. Pops and locks will bring an added layer to fast or slow movement and can influence your dance to become your own individual style. Learn how to make them strong and tight as well as when and how to use them. This class covers what muscles control each action and make the lock and the pop happen with a focus on how to include this more modern movement in to traditional Egyptian style dance. This class is suitable for beginning level students with dance experience and all other levels.
