If there are Suhaila style teachers in the San Jose Area?

I have taken workshops with Suhaila and really enjoyed her teaching style. Unfortunately because of my hectic work schedule and life I cannot make it up to Suhaila's classes. I am interested in finding a Suhaila-esk style teacher in the South Bay.

I was hoping someone could shed some light on any teachers that can help me in the meantime?

Bright Blessings,

You should ask this question in Suhaila's tribe.

I doubt anyone is certified to teach the Suhaila Salimpour Technique because one would have to be a Level 5 in order to be authorized to teach her technique and so far no one has made it past Level 2. Though I'm sure many dancers are influence by Suhaila's teaching technique, they can't openly advertise it because they aren't authorize to teach it.

Athallia, you are right. No one can teach a sanctioned, branded "Suhaila Format" class without being Level 5 certified. Although, as you mentioned, there are instructors who BASE their classes on Suhaila's format...

Regardless, I have to say it breaks my heart to hear someone so close to the "mothership" can't make it to Suhaila's studio to study. Being in Texas, I come out as often as I can for classes and workshops. If I was just in San Jose... wow! How great! But, I know it is all relative. :)
