I'm posting this for a friend...
I've been thinking:
>
>90% of my family lives in New Orleans and the Mississippi Delta. So I have
>been particularly effected by Hurricane Katrina (I haven't heard from my
>brother and his family or my sister and her husband or my older brother, or
>my aunts, uncles nor cousins ). I have been thinking--can we have a
>bellydance fundraising movement (a Movement Movement?) ? I'm thinking
>everybody everywhere dance on a corner in your community with a donation
>basket this weekend for Hurricane Relief. We could Dance for Dollars?? All
>the money can go to the Red Cross.

Re: Bellydance fundraising movement
Fri, September 2, 2005 - 8:08 PMThis Movement kinda reminds me of how all the beautiful belly dancers banded together and raised money for relief after the tsunami. It's wonderful.
I'm hosting a benefit show on Friday Oct 14 at the Red Room in L.A. I have several amazing dancers lined up already, and am trying to line up a few more. It's going to be great.
